Client agent
Axidian CertiFlow Agent runs in the background on your workstation. When the administrator assigns a task to your card, the agent opens a window and prompts you to complete the required actions.
Tasks that require your action:
- Change PIN
- Reset PIN
- Update card contents
Change PIN
The administrator can set an expiration date for your card PIN. If the PIN has expired, a PIN change window opens when you connect the card to the workstation. Set a new PIN.
IDPrime and eToken 72K cards enforce a hardware requirement to change the PIN the first time the card is connected to the workstation.
Reset PIN
If you do not remember the PIN or the card is blocked, contact the administrator so they can assign a PIN reset task.
To reset your PIN, you must have answers to secret questions configured. If you do not remember the answers, change them.
To reset the PIN:
- Connect the card to the workstation. The PIN reset window opens.
- Enter answers to one or more secret questions.
- Enter a new PIN and confirm it.
- Click Reset.
If the PIN is reset, the following message appears: User PIN reset successfully.
Update card
When the administrator assigns a card update task, the update window opens when you connect the card to the workstation.
To update the card:
Connect the card to the workstation. The update window opens.
Enter the PIN and click Update.
Select third-party certificates to register them in Axidian CertiFlow and track their validity period.
Availability
You can select tracked certificates if the administrator enabled the Search for certificates when card is issued or updated to track validity period and Allow user to select tracked certificates options in policy settings under Workflow → General.
Click OK.
The update may take several minutes. When it completes, the following message appears: Card updated successfully.
If your company's regulations require the documents check for certificate updates, the update may be suspended. In this case, the card gets the Pending status.
