IronLogic Z2 USB

IronLogic Z2 USB Provider is required for user authentication with IronLogic readers.

Important

The provider requires a dedicated version of the IronLogic Z2 USB reader. Other versions of Z2 USB are not guaranteed to work with Axidian Access.

Note

Authenticators of this type can only be registered with the authenticator management tool.

Prerequisites​

The provider requires Bsp Broker installed on the Axidian Access server.

Files for the Bsp Broker installation are located at axidian\Axidian Providers\Axidian Bsp Broker\<Version number>\.

  • AuthProviders.BspBroker.x64.msi — the installation package of Bsp Broker for 64-bit operating systems.
  • AuthProviders.BspBroker.x86.msi — the installation package of Bsp Broker for 32-bit operating systems.

Install the provider​

  1. Run the installation file located at axidian <Version number>/Axidian Providers/Axidian IronLogic Z2USB Provider/<Version number> and follow the steps of the installation wizard. Install the provider both on the computer with Core Server installed and on the client computer.

    Important

    If several Core Servers are used in your infrastructure, install the provider on all the servers of the infrastructure.

  2. After the installation is complete, a system restart may be required. If the installation wizard prompts you to restart the system, confirm this action.

  3. To remove or restore the product, open the Control panel menu and use the standard procedure for the supported operating systems.

Authentication example​

  1. When you first sign in to the system or to an application via Axidian Access authentication, select the sign-in method.

    To do this, click Change the sign-in method in the Windows sign-in window. Select the Card (Z2 USB Card Reader) authentication method.

  2. Connect the Z2 USB card reader and place a registered card on the reader.

  3. The authentication is performed once the card data has been processed. If the sign-in with the authenticator is successful, the Card sign-in method is saved as the preferred one and is offered to the user automatically at the next sign-in to the system or to an application.

Additional settings

To define the smart card removal behavior, configure the timeout of the action performed on smart card removal, and specify the storage format of card IDs in the Axidian Access database, go to the group policies section for IronLogic Z2 USB Provider.
