Minimum acceptable template quality at registration
The policy defines the minimum acceptable quality of the fingerprint template at registration. The template quality is set as an integer from 1 to 10, where 10 corresponds to the maximum possible template quality.
The policy must be defined on the user workstations where the client components of the system are installed. If the policy is not defined, the value 3 is used by default.
To achieve the maximum template quality at registration, place the finger on the scanner carefully and do not change the finger position relative to the scanner.
Maximum acceptable FAR
The policy defines the maximum acceptable FAR (False Acceptance Rate) value when comparing fingerprint templates.
The policy must be defined on all Core Servers. If the policy is not defined, the default value is 250.
It is set as an integer from 1 to 1000. The value 1 corresponds to the most "lenient" comparison, when the probability of comparing different templates and getting a positive result is maximum. The value 1000 corresponds to the most "strict" comparison, when such probability is minimum.
Setting the parameter value too high may lead to frequent errors related to denying access to legitimate users.
Scanner indication settings
The policy sets the operation parameters of the scanner LEDs. By default, the scanner LEDs do not blink in either mode.
