Email OTP

SMTP server settings​

The policy is applied to Core Servers and allows you to set the following parameters for working with an SMTP server:

  • Server (DNS name, IP address) — the address for connecting to the server

  • Port — the port for connecting to the server

  • Server timeout — the response waiting time from the server, in seconds

  • Connection type — unsecured, TLS, or SSL

  • Login — the account name for connecting to the server

  • Password — the account password for connecting to the server

  • One-time password in the message subject — if the option is enabled, the one-time password is displayed in the message subject; otherwise, it is displayed in the message body

  • Message text — the sender name and email, the message subject and body

    Note

    In the message text, you must specify the insertion point for the one-time password with the <otp> tag.

    If the One-time password in the message subject option is set, the same insertion point for the one-time password must be specified in the message subject.

Not Configured or Disabled — if the policy is not defined or is disabled, Email OTP Provider is not used for user authentication.

Enabled — when the policy is enabled, Email OTP Provider works according to the parameters defined in the policy.
